Even with all the digital advances of photography, sometimes there’s nothing better than a great black and white print. The texture stands out more, and you see the underlying beauty.
I had a chance in college to intern with Southern Exposure Magazine, in Franklin, Tennessee. I shadowed their main photographer, went on assignments just for me, and I also had to come up with my own assignments. It was a wonderful experience I’ll never forget!
I really enjoy taking artistic photographs. Pictures of ordinary things in a new, unique way. I’ve never been a real artsy person, so it’s wonderful to find a new outlet. If there was some way I could just walk around take pictures as I feel them, and make a living off of it, that would be a dream!
